M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board and Planning Department
Announce August 2024 Events and Meetings
LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) announce their upcoming public events and meetings for August 2024. For more details, review the list of events and meetings below or visit www.pgplanningboard.org and www.pgplanning.org. Events and meetings are subject to change.
The following meetings will resume in September after the August recess: Prince George’s County Planning Board weekly meetings and M-NCPPC Full Commission monthly meeting.
Subdivision and Development Review Committee Meeting

Subdivision and Development Review Committee (SDRC) is a coordination and interagency meeting early in the development review process with the applicant and M-NCPPC staff, where the public can be invited to virtually view the meeting only. The meetings are held virtually and may be viewed via live streaming video. The agendas are posted online.
Historic Property Grant Workshop
Thursday, August 1 | 6 – 7:30 p.m.
The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will host a virtual workshop on the Prince George’s County Historic Property Grant Program for community members to learn about the program and the Fiscal Year 2025 application process. Sustainable Communities Open House

The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will host an open house event for the Kentland, Palmer Park, and Columbia Park area to learn about the Sustainable Communities program and the designation renewal process, administered by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. Residents and community stakeholders are invited to provide input on the area’s revitalization priorities and goals for the next five years. To register online, visit www.pgplan.org/sustainableAug8.
Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission
Tuesday, August 13 | 6:30 p.m.
Hosted by the M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department, the Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission meeting will be held virtually on August 13, 2024. Please note this is a special meeting date for the Historic Preservation Commission, which ordinarily meets on the third Tuesday of the month.
