The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board and Planning Department congratulate James Hunt, Deputy Planning Director of Operations, on receiving the 2025 Quality of Life Award from the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA). Mr. Hunt was recognized during the annual MBIA Prince George’s County Legislative Breakfast held on Friday, April 18, 2025, in College Park, MD. The Quality-of-Life award is given to a person in the public sector who best reflects a genuine interest for the quality of life in Prince George’s County and whose leadership qualities foster an atmosphere of partnership with the housing industry.
This award recognizes Mr. Hunt’s commitment to excellence in land-use planning and development as well as his significant service to County residents, industry stakeholders, and the agency. “Always do the right thing, even when no one else is looking,” said Mr. Hunt during his acceptance remarks.
“We are excited that James has been recognized for what we see daily: his commitment to leading and serving Prince George’s County with excellence in the areas of land-use planning and development,” said Lakisha Hull, Director, M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department. “He shares his expertise with staff and works in collaboration with residents, industry stakeholders, government agency partners, and elected officials in our mission to build thriving communities.”
