M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board and Planning Department announce their upcoming public events and meetings for July 2026.

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) respects the Court’s consideration of these important issues on behalf of the residents of Prince George’s County.

M-NCPPC has filed a complaint requesting a declaratory judgment and injunction in response to Prince George’s County’s FY27 budget and its request to divert Commission tax revenues in a manner the Commission believes is inconsistent with Maryland State law.

Prince George’s County finalized its Fiscal Year 2027 budget and The Maryland‑National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M‑NCPPC) is providing important context and transparency for residents about the impact of recent budget decisions on the work of the Commission and the communities it serves.

M-NCPPC will host Summer Soccer Kickoff Watch Parties and Youth Soccer Tournaments on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Fletcher’s Field in Riverdale and on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Heurich Park in Hyattsville.

The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department, in partnership with local partnering agencies, will host “The Future is Suitland Celebration,” a vibrant, community event on Saturday, May 31, 2026.

On May 14, 2026, the M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board elected Member Billy Okoye as Vice Chair with a 3-2 vote.
