A successful census count in Prince George’s County is vital to our community’s well-being and overall quality of life. Prince George’s County is supporting the U.S. Census Bureau’s data collection activities with a Complete Count Committee (CCC).
On September 18, 2018, the Prince George’s County Council approved Council Resolution (CR-35-2018) expressing support for the establishment of the CCC. The CCC is a collaboration between the County Council, the County Executive, and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) to make all reasonable efforts to obtain an accurate count of all segments of the populations of Prince George’s County.
CCCs are volunteer committees established by tribal, state, and local governments and community leaders or organizations. CCCs use local knowledge, influence, and resources to educate communities and promote the census through local, targeted outreach efforts. Their sole purpose is to maximize participation and response rates by increasing awareness throughout the 2020 census.
