In keeping with the changing trends of modern day policing, the Park Police Division has expanded its policing practices and includes the problem-oriented policing philosophy. The Division developed "Operation CARE" to address concerns of park patrons. Operation CARE is a program designed to work in partnership with the community to solve problems related to the park systems.

Community Feedback

To be successful, the Park Police relies on the community to help identify problems and implement viable solutions. To initiate community contact, officers distribute Operation CARE literature and magnets to the residents who live near M-NCPPC parks. Working as a team with local residents, the Park Police are better able to provide effective and efficient customer service to Prince George's County residents and park patrons.
